To produce and deliver high-quality musical artistry through a soulful, insightful, spicy and harmonious synthesis of singing, spoken word, melodic instruments, percussion and dance, reflecting and carrying forward the monumental legacy of the music, heritage and culture of African/Black people, proudly and sacredly keeping the rhythm of our legacy alive!
The name “BlackNotes” refers to the group’s mission of delivering musical notes and literary notes (lyric writing and vocalization) that represent and emanate from the legacy and heritage, the current times and conditions, and a positive vision for the future of African/Black people, our music, our culture, and our plight in our communities and the world community.
